How to run windows guest os on Linux

With the advent of hardware support for virtualisation in the Intel and AMD cpus it has been possible for a while now, to run windows OS as unmodified quest operating systems on top of Linux.

At our first Ferndale Linux User Group meeting on the 27th July 2007 I gave a brief presentation and demonstration of the virtualisation technologies available to Linux. The demo went relatively well although the grand finale of a live migration was not ready in time. I have attached the presentation below.
